Here are some videos, pictures and stories of just a few of the thousands of souls rescued from abuse by The Canadian H.E.A.R.T. With your support many more will be saved and given a new life and a fresh start.
This is John. He was abandoned as a kitten with his family along with a mother dog and her pups. Their owners thought it was ok to move away and leave them outside the empty house to fend for themselves.
This little bantee rooster was rescued with 65 other animals. This little guy was locked inside a wooden box at -30 with no food , water or bedding. His only companion was a potbelly pig that had her spine fractured by the crazy owners. This little bantee was so hungry he started to peck the flesh of the back of the live pig to survive. Lucky they both wererescued.
This is Sky she was rescued from the same abandonned home as her brother John.
Bantee roosters along with a goose that was rescued
from slaughter.
This tiny chihuahua is named Tia. We were called by a breeder that was going to euthanize her because she had a defective hip. Other rescues would not takeTia because they did not want to spend money on her surgery. We chose the natural supplements route instead and Tia never required surgery and is a happy and healthy girl now!
This is Lenny and we call him a Jack Russell Terrorist. Hard to believe he spent his first 9 months of life in a 2 foot by 1 foot cage for 16 hours a day. Then the owners complained that he was crazy and not able to be house broken. They were going to euthanize Lenny if we did not take him immediately!
At 2 years old Pretty Penny ‘s owners were going to euthanize her because they did not want her. She had been hit by a car 3 times and received limited veterinary care for her injuries, simply because the owners did not want to pay. The damage from her accidents caused a benign tumor in her abdomen. She lost 30 lbs and had less than 10% blood in her body! We took Penny and rushed her to St.Hyacinthe vet hospital. They gave her a transfusion and emergency surgery with the prognosis that she probably would’nt live. After her operation the vets could’nt believe her will to survive. Now here she is at the age of 15 and is happy and healthy living with us.
This is George. He was brought to a dog rescue by an owner who let her unspayed female dog have puppies. We gladly took George to give him a home.
Say hello to 6 year old Willy. He was saved from an uncertain life from a backyard breeder who thought it was ok to let her dog have litter after litter.

Neville is a 6 year old potbelly pig who along with his six siblings were brought to us by an animal rescue to save them from neglect.
Little Annie lived in the city with her owner. The landlord of the building didn’t like the fact there was a pig in the dwelling and ordered her out. Her owner frantic with no safe place to take Annie, we gladly obliged to give her a safe sanctuary to live.
Poor Chaos. The only life he knew was living in a small apartment with his owner. She too was told to get her pet out of the house or he would be removed.Chaos has since made best friends with Annie who has a similar story.
